ADE Playground will provide a hub of activity, a centre for you to talk to professionals, play with new gear and engage in other forms of music and media.

We’ve provided 10 more reasons for you to get involved this year. 1/ ADE MusicTalks MusicTalks gives you the chance to quiz your favourite artists at De Brakke Grond this year. Come prepared and you will be able to pen your questions to the likes of Hans Zimmer, Chris Liebing and more. 2/ De Brakke Grond The Flemish cultural centre and theatre will be the nucleus for ADE activity as it acts as the new heart for ADE Playground Gear and MusicTalks. 3/ ADE Playground at Volkshotel At the Volkshotel there will be art exhibitions, performances, documentaries, including one about the Amsterdam’s infamous Roxy and talks by Yuri Landman with visuals. 4/ Pioneer DJ No one symbolizes DJ performance technology quite like Pioneer does, having dominated the CDJ market for so long. In the Pioneer DJ room you will find workshops and masterclasses as well as showcases for the latest Pioneer gear. 5/ Gear Testlab Testing one, two, three. Producers beware! Get hands-on with the latest high-end production gear at the Gear Testlab, situated in De Brakke Grond, featuring Novation, Bitwig, iZotope, Livid, Moog, RME, Ears4U and Splice. 6/ Red Bull Studio Playrooms Red Bull Studios presents PLAYROOMS, an intimate event featuring some of the Netherland’s predominate and informative DJs and clubs in the heart of Amsterdam’s Red Light District. The event, which was sold out immediately, can also be streamed on the Red Bull Studios Playrooms site. 7/ Sonos Studio ADE Sonos Studio ADE delves into the world of electronic music through a three-day series of listening parties, performances, screenings, conversations and connections with artists sharing their music and experiences. Drop by to catch talks with Henrik Schwarz, Modeselektor, Jackmaster and more. 8/ DJs philosophizing at theThe School of Life The school of Life, which normally teaches classes on how to find a job you love, how to be a better friend and how to make a difference, will be talking to ADE Headline DJs, philosophizing on how to make the world a better place. 9/ Doppelgang & Workshop Painting with Sounds On Friday Night over at the Van Gogh Museum Tim Hoeben, Nathan Surreal and Luna Ludmila will show you how to compose your own tracks, while you soak up the inspiration from the surrounding art. 10/ ADE Playground Film Throughout the festival you can get free entrance to the ADE Playground Film program at De Balie Cinema, curated by Cineville, one the largest cinema collectives in the Netherlands. You can also catch a wide selection of flicks over at The Melkweg Cinema, which includes a premier of Rewind 4Ever, a new UK garage documentary.
