Sleepy Tom’s ‘I Want Your Soul’ is out now on SPRS!

Coming from back in the disco day, when there was a track called ‘Do You Want It Right Now’ making serious moves, a certain DJ called Armand van Helden picked it up in 2007, using a sample from this tune to create a monster of a disco/house track titled ‘I Want Your Soul’.
Long story short, the record turned out a huge hit. And even though it seemed a timeless dance tune, recently Canadian DJ/producer Sleepy Tom recreated the track with a more current house flavor to it. Which was exactly what it needed.. First of all, Sleepy Tom is on fire lately; remixing like crazy for the likes of Zeds Dead (‘Bustamove’) and GTA & Martin Solveig (‘Intoxicated’).
But as he's moving in different territories these days, throwing out house as well as hip hop styled tracks, with ‘I Want Your Soul’ the producer stays close to the disco vibe of the Armand van Helden track. Making this the perfect crossover between dance classic excitement and contemporary house energy. Reviving the record once more, scoring early DJ support from artists like Oliver Heldens, A-Trak, Martin Solveig, Don Diablo and Laidback Luke. Talk about timeless sounds, here’s some that will catch you every time..
